About Law MSP
Law MSP is a name Jinba IT uses for its managed IT for law firms. This page sets out who we are, what we do and the limits of what we claim.
1. Who operates this site
lawmsp.com.au is operated by Jinba IT Pty Ltd (ABN 52 638 452 114), based in South Melbourne VIC 3205. Law MSP is the name Jinba IT uses for its legal-sector managed IT. When you send an enquiry from this site, Jinba IT reads it and replies, and Jinba IT delivers the services described here.
2. What Jinba IT does
Jinba IT provides managed IT for organisations of about 10 to 150 staff, for one price of $150 per user, per month. That covers:
- a help desk with no per-ticket charges and no after-hours loading;
- Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace: Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with Intune, Entra ID and Windows Autopilot;
- security: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint P2 on every managed device and a 24/7 cybersecurity remediation SOC staffed by people;
- Microsoft 365 backup held outside the tenant, with scheduled restore tests;
- monitoring, a monthly report and a quarterly roadmap conversation.
Jinba IT is a Microsoft CSP partner and passes Microsoft licences through at its CSP price. Hardware is supplied at cost.
3. Why a site for law firms
Law firms ask IT questions in their own terms: filing deadlines, hearings, confidentiality, trust payments and practice systems run by outside vendors. This site explains our service in those terms and publishes guides for law firms that are useful whoever looks after your IT. It doesn't name clients or carry case studies. Ask us anything about how we work and you will get a plain answer.
4. Where and when we work
We work onsite across greater Melbourne and support firms in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and regional Victoria remotely. The help desk runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm Melbourne time, and security alerts are triaged 24/7, weekends included. If a whole team can't work we respond within 15 minutes; if one person can't, within 30 minutes; anything else, the same business day.
5. How we work with a firm
- Month to month, under a six-page agreement in plain English, with a month's notice and no exit fee.
- Every credential, document and configuration record is handed over if you leave.
- We hold the account details for your internet provider, phone system and practice software vendors, and make the calls.
- We take full ownership of the firm's IT environment, so one team is answerable for all of it.
- If something goes wrong because of us, we say so.
- Under about five staff, break-fix support usually costs less, and we will tell you.
6. What we don't claim
We aren't lawyers, and nothing on this site is legal advice. We don't claim expertise in any particular practice or document management product. We don't state that any firm, or any setup, meets a legal or professional obligation; those judgements belong to the firm and its advisers. The only vendor partnership we claim is Microsoft CSP.
