Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace for law firms
One sign-in, managed laptops and phones, and files your lawyers can reach from the office, from home or from court. Implementation is included in the monthly fee, not quoted as a separate project.
1. What a Modern Workplace includes
- Microsoft 365: Exchange for mail and calendars, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Intune: every laptop and phone enrolled, encrypted, patched and checked for compliance, with remote wipe if a device goes missing.
- Entra ID: one identity per person, Conditional Access, multi-factor authentication enforced and legacy sign-in methods blocked.
- Windows Autopilot: a new laptop ships straight to the lawyer and sets itself up when they sign in.
2. Working around your practice systems
Your practice management and document management systems remain the record of each matter. Microsoft 365 carries the mail, calendars, meetings and everyday files around them. 3. Starters and leavers
A new lawyer's laptop can go straight to their home or desk and be ready when they sign in on day one. When someone leaves, their access is removed and their devices can be wiped remotely. Their mailbox and files stay with the firm.
4. Retention
Law firms keep client files for years after a matter closes. Microsoft 365 retention settings can be set to follow the retention policy your firm decides on, and the independent backup sits alongside them. 5. Licences at our cost
Jinba IT is a Microsoft CSP partner, and Microsoft licences are passed through at our CSP price with no markup. Licences and renewals are tracked in your documentation register, which we review every month.
