Secure remote and mobile access for lawyers

Lawyers work from court, from home and from client offices. Their laptops and phones should be as safe there as they are at their desk.

1. How access is controlled

Everyone signs in with one identity in Entra ID, with multi-factor authentication enforced. Conditional Access decides which sign-ins and devices are allowed in, and older sign-in methods that skip MFA are blocked. The same rules apply in the office, at home and in a courtroom.

2. Managed laptops and phones

  • Every device is enrolled in Intune, encrypted, patched and checked for compliance.
  • If a phone is left in a taxi after a hearing, we can wipe it remotely.
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint runs on every managed device and is watched by the 24/7 cybersecurity remediation SOC.

3. Working from court and client sites

Files in SharePoint and OneDrive, mail and Teams all work wherever there is an internet connection. Where the Wi-Fi is unknown, a phone hotspot is usually the safer choice. When a matter needs files from the practice management system, the vendor's own access method applies, and we help set it up and raise faults with the vendor.

4. Interstate and regional lawyers

We work onsite across greater Melbourne and support firms and offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and regional Victoria remotely. New laptops are shipped pre-configured, so nobody needs to drive out to set one up.
