Practice systems and vendor management
A law firm runs on more than Microsoft. When the practice management system, the phones or the internet misbehave, we hold the account details and make the calls.
1. Vendor liaison
We deal with your internet provider, your phone system provider and the vendors of your practice management and document management software. We log the fault, chase it, and tell you when it is fixed.
We don't claim expertise in any particular practice management product. What we do is look after the devices, accounts, network and Microsoft 365 setup those systems depend on, and handle the conversation with the vendor so your practice manager doesn't have to. Our guide to practice systems and Microsoft 365 covers email filing, add-ins, sign-in and testing after changes.
2. A documentation register
We keep one register for your firm, covering:
- every device and where it is in its lifecycle;
- admin accounts;
- licences and renewal dates;
- network, internet and phone details;
- backups and the date of the last restore test;
- every change we make.
We review it every month and export it whenever you ask. If you ever change provider, the IT handover checklist for law firms lists what to collect.
3. Renewals before they lapse
Because licences and renewal dates sit in the register we review monthly, a forgotten subscription is far less likely to take part of the firm offline on a busy morning.
4. Hardware and planning
Laptops and other hardware are supplied at the price we pay, with no markup. Replacements are planned in the quarterly roadmap from the lifecycle data in the register, so you can budget for them.
Tell us about your firm.
Roughly how many people, what you have now and what keeps going wrong. We reply within one business day with a straight answer, including if we are not the right fit.
